Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I bought an MX ARE cap in 2014 for my 2013 Ford Super Duty, The cap was awesome. The paint on it was metallic gray and it was superb! So this year I bought the CX Revo cap for my 2023 Ford Super Duty. The paint was Race Red metallic (extra price paid). The cap came in to my dealer with three chips in the paint and a shady ghost image as well. They installed it on my truck in this condition. When I got it in my garage under the lights, I saw the faults. I picked up the truck in the dark and the cap was filthy from shipping. when I notified the dealer I was told to bring the truck back in and the cap would be removed and sent back to ARE for repair. About a month later the cap comes back, again filthy, and I take the truck in for the cap reinstallation. This time the cap has only ONE CHIP IN THE PAINT and a small black object inclusion in the paint, it can be felt as well as seen. What has happened to your quality in the last 10 years. Now I’m left with a chip in the cap to touch up and some fine scratches in my bed fenders from the install, removal and reinstall. Nothing can be done about the dirt inclusion in the paint. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am in my $4k+ cap.
