This is my second DCU cap, had one on my other truck for eight years. This cap is easy to work out of and affords easy access with the side tool box doors. I ordered mine with windows front, rear and side to help eliminate blind spots while driving. The aluminum ladder racks are also an option worth getting, use them all the time. My cap is custom painted to match the truck and looks like part of the vehicle. A nice newer feature has the cap locks controlled by your vehicle key, eliminating the need for an additional key.

I am a trim carpenter, and carry LOTS of tools! I went from a '96 Chevy full size pickup with an 8' box, to an '05 full size pickup with a 6.5' box. I did not know if I could get the necessities in there, but my topper was EXACTLY what sealed the deal! The only problem I have had were 2 screw heads higher than the ladder rack which damaged some plywood. I fixed that by counter sinking them and applying some silicone as a sealer.

This is my third cover by A.R.E., and I love it! First was a hard tonneau cover for my personal truck, then a standard DCU w/ side boxes for my work truck, and now my new customized DCU for my newest work truck. I love these toppers, very durable and dependable. I ordered the full flip-up rear door this time and I couldn't be happier! Thanks A.R.E. for building such a solid, great looking product!!
